Willem Frederik Hermans

Willem Frederik Hermans (1921–1995) is a Dutch author, best known for his novels The Darkroom of Damocles (1958) and Beyond Sleep (1966). He is widely considered perhaps the most important Western European author to emerge from the postwar period.
